Why you need it
What was sown in a field two years ago, the agronomist remembers; how much diesel and fertilizer went into a hectare, nobody does. The harvest is counted at the weighbridge, the costs in accounting, and bringing them together into a cost per ton happens once a year.
For each field there’s a history of crops, work done, and materials applied, and the record keeper enters the machinery work for each shift. By harvest time you can see costs and yield by field and crop — and so what’s more profitable to sow.
