Why you need it
Who has the laptop, where the second monitor went, and when the license expires — one person knows, and not always.
Every item is a card with an inventory number and a history: issue, return, repair, write-off. Licenses and subscriptions remind you about renewal, and when someone leaves you can see what they need to hand back.
