Why you need it
The lot sells 40 used cars, each bought, prepared, and listed at its own price. How much went into preparing a particular car and how much was made on it only becomes clear at the sale, if at all.
A car’s card accumulates costs from purchase to sale, and the customer goes from a call to a test drive to a deal. How many days a car has been on the lot and what the margin on it is — always visible.
