Why you need it
The foundation collects money to cards, to its bank account, and in collection boxes, and every week the accountant tallies who gave how much and where it went. A donor asks whether their money helped, and there’s nothing specific to tell them.
Donations are recorded with the donor and the cause, and expenses with the beneficiary or program. A report shows how much was raised and spent for each cause, and the donor gets a thank-you email.
