Why you need it
The yogurts were found behind the shelving a week past their date, the medicines during an inspection. Write-offs are jotted down in a notebook, and over a month the store throws away an amount nobody has added up.
A goods receipt records the batch with its expiry date, and an “expires in three days” list appears every morning. Write-offs with reasons show which product and which supplier cost you the most.
