Why you need it
The dispatcher hands out addresses by phone, the technician comes back with a crumpled sheet, and a week later the customer says nobody showed up. How many visits each technician made and how much material they used is tallied in the evening from memory.
A visit is set up as a work order with an address, time, and technician, and the calendar shows crew workload for the week. The technician records work, materials, and photos right in the work order, and closed work orders feed the output and material write-off figures.
