Why you need it
A machine breaks down in the middle of an order, and it turns out the lubricant was last changed a year ago and the spare part takes three weeks to arrive. The maintenance schedule is in the manual, but nobody has opened it since the purchase.
Each piece of equipment has a maintenance schedule by calendar or by operating hours, and the jobs reach the mechanic ahead of time. Breakdowns and downtime build up in the history, and you can see which machine costs the most.
