Why you need it
Each sales rep prices business cards and banners from their own spreadsheet with their own markup, and the price for the same order differs by a factor of one and a half. The artwork was approved by email, but the old version went to the shop floor.
A calculator works out the price from material, print run, and operations, and the order goes through artwork approval and production stages. You can see equipment workload and the margin on every order.
