Why you need it
The warehouse stores goods for twenty clients, and every month the accountant works out how many pallets each one had, from exports and the warehouse keeper’s memory. The client disputes the invoice, and there’s nothing to back it up.
Receiving and shipping are recorded per client, and the balance in pallet-days builds up automatically. At the end of the month the storage and handling charges are gathered into a completion certificate, and the client sees their stock via a link.
