Why you need it
Subscriptions, memberships, and service contracts renew themselves only in theory. In practice, some quietly lapse, and the customer leaves simply because nobody reminded them.
The subsystem keeps track of every subscriber: what they’re signed up for, until what date, and at what price. A month before the end date the owner gets a reminder, and a renewal takes one click — with the new term and amount.
