Why you need it
At the front desk there’s a visitor log in which half the names are illegible. A guest waits twenty minutes because security doesn’t know who invited them, and contractors walk in on a permanent pass that expired last year.
An employee requests a pass in advance, security sees the list of visitors expected for the day and records entry and exit. Contractors’ permanent passes carry an expiry date, and the log can be printed at any time.
